Cancellation Policy: Participants may cancel up to 14 days prior to the start of the class for a refund. There will be no refunds within 14 days of the class. If AGTV or the instructor cancels the class, participants will get a full refund.
Class Content: This class is for artists who want to learn the basics of painting with pastels. Cathy will provide examples of finished paintings and give demonstrations of a variety of pastels and papers. In addition to the 12 nupastel set provided to students to keep, students will also try other brands of pastels, including Rembrandt, and pastel pencils. Cathy will provide sanded, non-sanded, and paper with a colored background for students to paint on with their pastels. Leave with 2-3 simple paintings.
Supply List: Art Supplies are included. Students will go home with a set of 12 Prismacolor NuPastels. Please bring a smock/apron, a shallow plastic “finger bowl” for cleaning your fingers, a medium sized stiff brush for erasing, paper towels, and newspapers if you have them.
Biography: Cathy is an Art Guild member who has been creating artwork with pastels since 2007. After trying oils, watercolor and acrylic, she found her real passion in pastels.
