Class Content: Let’s enjoy summer together by painting some irises! Whether you are continuing on from the Intro to Watercolor July class, new to watercolor or familiar with the medium already we will learn how to create more realistic images using layering and other techniques. Learn to implement the right tools to create detail, depth and value in your artwork.
We will focus on how to choose different watercolor brushes carefully in order to do the specific “jobs” we want the watercolor to achieve, the difference hot press and cold press papers have on the end result, creating paint values, and so much more. We will also learn how to transfer the images we want to paint onto the watercolor paper. I would love to help answer any questions you have and teach you the techniques to create your own watercolor masterpiece.
We will complete two paintings of irises and all supplies will be provided. Feel free to bring any watercolor supplies you already have. Don’t forget to bring a lunch
Supply List: You may bring any watercolor supplies if you would like, but this is not required.
